Privacy notice
Grounds Together is run by UVA students. Independent student project, not affiliated with or endorsed by the University of Virginia. This page explains, in plain words, what we store and who can see it.
What we store
- Your email address, so you can sign in with an emailed link. We never ask for or store a password.
- Your first name (optional), interests and time buffer.
- Classes and busy times you add yourself. We never connect to SIS, Canvas or any UVA system.
- Events you save, whether you chose to show “I'm going”, and invite links you create.
- Reports you file about events, and organizer applications if you apply to post for a club.
Who can see it
- Your schedule, saved events and invite links: only you.
- Friends you send an invite link to: the event and your first name, and “going” only if you turned it on.
- Club organizers: the events they post. They can't see who saved or viewed them.
- Site admins: organizer applications (including the applicant's email) and reports. Reports don't show admins your schedule.
Where it lives
- Data is stored with Supabase (database and sign-in) in the United States, and the site is hosted on Vercel.
- We don't sell data, show ads, or use tracking or analytics tools.
- Imported calendar files and pasted schedules are read in your browser; only the classes you confirm are saved.
Your choices
- Change or remove any class, busy time or saved event at any time, or delete everything on your account page.
